The Conclusion of 2010 From a Bad Blogger

Ok, I may not be very good at this writing consistently thing and I am sorry for ever getting impatient with any of you that have blogs for not updating quickly. That being said, I would like to remedy this by writing a nice long blog that includes multiple events that will get us all caught up. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and the first day of the New Year has been exactly what you needed (for me that consisted of one long nap).
Here is the last month in photos and captions, maybe even a little blurb.

On December 2nd we had our first ultrasound and found out that we are having a boy!

It was an awesome experience and we just loved seeing the little guy for the first time. Our favorite moments were when we got to see him sucking his thumb and wiggling back into the dark recesses of his cuddly home to get away from the tech "taking pictures." It is really amazing what these technicians can do.  I had no idea how much they would be able see and how those details would make Lars and I feel. I know that there are no guarantees but knowing the kid has two arms, two legs, two lungs, two kidneys, etc. is a very reassuring feeling.

Just a few days after our ultrasound we attended the Whitworth Choir Christmas Concert. It is always such a nice event and this year was no different.  I love that Whitworth has always made their concerts into a meaningful worship service, something that is lacking in other performances we see and are a part of throughout the year. One of the best parts of this concert is that we get to see friends that we only see once a year.

Our wonderful friend, Debbie Hansen

For the past few years our family has taken a trip to Leavenworth the weekend before Christmas to exchange gifts and have some fun in the snow.

Back at Andreas Keller for more pretzels and live music. Our baby niece is getting so big!

Yay Santa!

We spent Christmas with Lars' parents this year and had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner and stockings on Christmas morning. Lars introduced them to a video game that ended up being the main attraction for the day and we just had a nice laid back Christmas.

For New Year's Eve, Lars and I sang with the Seattle Choral Company for their production of Carmina Burana. There were two shows, one at 7:30 and one at 10:30 leading right up to midnight.  Although Carmina Burana is so fun to sing and the concert was a success it was an exhausting day for this 6-month-pregnant lady.
